Dr. Griffin is a respected scholar in his field of early Christian history. Before teaching at Payson High School, he worked as a senior research fellow at the Maxwell Institute of Brigham Young University where he also served as associate director of the Center for the Preservation of Ancient Religious Texts and as editor of the journal Studies in the Bible and Antiquity. He has published many academic works.
