Feb. 4th- 8th was the famous Spirit Week here at Payson High School. The theme was Nintendo and for each day, the students dressed up in “Wii” sports and resort wear, Yoshi green, and flannel representing Moo Moo Meadows from Mario Kart Wii. Everyday at lunch, students went into the main gym to play Super Smash Bros., dodgeball and volleyball. Competition was as intense as it would be at a sports event, and the students spent the week reaching for first place in all the games to earn points for their grade.
Payson High has several Physical Education classes ranging from Weight Lifting to Lifetime Activities. Lifetime Activities classes usually participate in fun activities all throughout the year and recently, equipped with their coats and gloves, went snowshoeing up Payson Canyon. Snowshoeing is a low-impact sport that's great for recuperation or non-impact strength building. Michelle Garcia, one of the students that participated, said, "Snowshoeing gets our heart rate up by walking around the snowy canyon.

We are excited as we enter our final semester of the school year. Students are starting to worry about what is going to happen after high school. We have articles about scholarships, how to get grades up, and about school attendance. We also look into some of the great classes offered at PHS as well as some of the amazing students. We are excited to share with you all of our work.
