5 Reasons Why You Should Pay $5

Submitted by kate.searle on
On Sept 16th all juniors and seniors are invited to tour college campuses while the sophomores take the PLAN test. Would you rather sleep or spend the $5 at Wendy’s? Here are five reasons why going on the campus tour is better than sleeping or eating: 1) Fun. It’s going to be awesome to jump on a bus with a bunch of college-bound peers. So take a risk and you’ll probably make some new friends or at least find out who might be going to the same college as you. 2) Leave Utah County. Get out of the house! Get out of the school! Get out of the county! 3) Get informed. College is a pretty big decision and you want to make sure you make the right choice. During the college tour you’ll be able to see and feel the campus before you spend thousands of dollars in tuition. 4) It’s only $5. Look in the couch and in the vending machines for extra change. There must be some loose quarters hiding somewhere just waiting for you to find. 5) Graduation is closer than you think. There is the saying, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” An easy step towards going to college is to actually commit to going to a specific one. Now, if your plans change and you end up going somewhere else, that’s okay. Commit now to go and start planning and saving for it. Registration forms are due to the Finance Office by Sept. 11th. Buses will be going to UVU/BYU or U of U/Westminster. There is a $5 charge and you need to provide your own lunch. You might feel like you WANT to sleep-in on Sept 16th but you NEED to go on the college campus tour. It’s worth the $5.
