College Day for Juniors

College Day is approaching, and will be for all Juniors on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019. All Juniors are encouraged to attend because they will have the opportunity to learn more information about the colleges they are interested in. The colleges that will be presenting are Utah State, Weber State, LDS Business College, University of Utah, Salt Lake Community College, Westminster College, Utah Valley University, Brigham Young University, BYU-I, Snow College, Southern Utah University, Dixie, Colorado Mesa, and  MTECH.

“This is a great opportunity for juniors to learn about the admissions process, financial aid, and the various institutions. At the event, they can learn which post secondary option will be best for them. Following the general meeting, in the auditorium there will be 3 break out sessions which will allow students to visit with the colleges they are most interested in,” said Sheila Lotz

Juniors will be able to meet with three colleges of their choice, and have the opportunity to ask any questions that may be on their mind about college. Even if Juniors are not sure which college they would like to go to, this is the perfect chance for them to get a feel for which colleges may be best.

Lotz says, “Juniors should wear business dress and present themselves in a professional manner as this will make a good impression with the college recruiters. They should also come prepared to ask any questions they may have about college and gather as much information as possible to help them make the decision that is the best fit for them.”
