The complete works of Shakespeare “ABRIDGED”, presented by our amazing drama program with Director Jeff Allred and assistant Director Autumn Allinson. The cast for the play are : Candace Burningham, Derik McCausland, Brenna Asplund, Caitlin Dart, Chris Stewart, Mitch Jensen, Aubrey Taylor, Maren Giessing, Misty Hill, Missy Jensen, Alena Johnson, Kristen Kraut,  Jake Dansie, Laura Wear, Sarah Webber, Teal Delagatti, Alison Steed, Sarah Webber, Jessica Ward, Kolina Schmoyer, Ruth Murphy, Destry McCoy, Ysabella Matta, and Alesha Lee.                 This play was funny, made the crowd laugh; it was just straight out funny. They took Shakespeare’s plays and truly abridged them. Take Romeo and Juliet for example, first they didn’t dress in their characters wardrobe, and they made Romeo and Juliet’s love scenes more modern. “Romeo and Juliet was a funny spoof of one of Shakespeare’s most known plays, Juliet (Kristen Kraut) would ask the audience questions. Another example of involving the crowd came from Aubrey Taylor, who would run into the crowd and grab a random person and bring them to the stage to say some lines, and then they would grab someone else and have him run on the stage while the other person was saying their line. “A good half of the play all runs on impromptu, so we had to depend on the Audience to be involved with what we did” said Allison. It was so humorous because of all the random things they did that just made it fantastic. For example Derik McCausland played Cleopatra and modernized the play by saying “I have to put on that wig again” (really loud so the crowd heard it of course). It’s too difficult to explain all I’m saying is, if you didn’t see this play you missed out! They don’t do this kind of play all the time so if you didn’t go then you really missed out. I highly suggest you begin to be involved with future upcoming plays, our drama program has never ceased to amaze and I don’t think they plan on it anytime soon. It’s never too expensive to enjoy yourself watching fellow students on stage. RYAN OUT xD
