FFA hosts Donkey Basketball to raise funds for Pencils of Promise

On Friday, April 13, 2018 Donkey Basketball will be coming to Payson High School at 7:00 p.m.  All proceeds will be donated to a non-profit organization, Pencils of Promise, that raises money to build schools all over the world. They believe that every child should have the opportunity to have a quality education. Currently they have built 457 schools and have helped 86,021 students get an education.

PHS and the graduating class of 1998 began raising money after an exciting homecoming assembly earlier in the year wish announced the relationship between Payson High and Pencils of Promise. Every dollar that the FFA raises during Donkey Basketball, will be matched by the Class of '98 to help build a school in Central America.

Students, FFA members, community members and teachers/administrators will be competing on the backs of donkeys to raise funds.  Tickets can be bought from members of the Payson FFA Chapter at the following prices: Adults $8, Students (7-12) $6, Children $4. An additional dollar will be charged for tickets bought at the gate.

Students and the Payson community are encouraged to come join the fun. This is a great opportunity to show support for the community, school and global education, so come and have a great time!
