Guide to Parking at PHS

Submitted by kate.searle on

Finding a Parking Spot at Payson High School is like trying to find water in the desert. At least that is what students think. PHS actually has a lot of parking around the school, but students don’t want to take the time to look around. Both students and teachers are frustrated. They can park in the actual student parking lot, but a lot of the time it is filled to the brim with cars. Other places the students can park are behind the Auto Shop or even in the Seminary parking lot.

Did you know that there is a parking lot right across the street from the High School? There are lots of parking spaces, you just have to take the time to look. But also there are places where students can’t park. For example: the Faculty parking lot right at the front of the school or the area on the side of the Auto Shop.

Mrs. Whitbeck, a Math teacher here at Payson High School said this, “I hate it when I come from lunch getting my Costa Vida and my spot is taken by a student,” showing that even Teachers are frustrated with the parking crisis. Now that we are in January, when it snows, the parking crisis is just going to get worse. This has been a guide to parking at PHS. Use it and live it Payson High School.
