Have You Heard? Payson High Choirs Christmas Concert

On Friday December 15th, Payson High School’s Choirs proudly presented an evening of Christmas carols directed by Marilyn Morgan with Dana Bentley and David Baker as accompanists.  

The performance started with the Trouvere boys singing "Have You Heard," then transitioned to the Bell Coro’s "Arise and Shine Your Light Has Come" and "Star of Bethlehem." Following the Bel Coro, Cambrielle Fitzwater and Mariah Webber’s voices joined together for "Santa Baby" and after their performance, the Trouvere Girls’ soft voices harmonized Let It Snow which then transitioned into Bayli Alexander’s Solo of of Elvis Presley’s "Blue Christmas." After Bayli, Trouveres did "The Holly and the Ivy" and What Child Is This? Max Bennion did "White Chrirstmas" followed by Polyphony’s In "Dulci Jubilo," "Jingle Bell Rock," "Veni, Veni Emmanuel" and Sage Jackson’s solo of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."  

Close to the culmination, Mrs. Morgan announced Bel Coro’s Performance of "Betelehemu," a Nigerian Christmas song that was accompanied by Brandon Harris’s solo and percussionists Owen Grimshaw, Kenji Heimuli, Reneé Hunt, Andrew Palmer and Dana Bentley.

At the end, all Choirs got together and wished the charmed audience Happy Holidays with "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
