The Mansetters

If there is one thing that PHS is good at, it’s twerking! Our Mansetters got the crowds up and cheering, at both the pep assembly and the homecoming assembly, while they were shakin’ what their mammas gave them. This bootylicious performance would be one to make Miley Cyrus proud! Oh, too soon?

If you missed the performance you are probably wondering what the Mansetters even are. They are the boy version of the drill team, the Paysetters.

In the words of Noah Quist, “The Mansetters are a group of talented individuals who will show the school what love is really about!” You heard it here first ladies and gentlemen, twerking = love.

One of my favorite moments from the dance was when Jordan Bailey was lifted into the air towards the end of their performance and was carried around the stage. It was quite beautiful and in that moment we all knew that those boys were true stars.

The dance was choreographed by Paysetters Captain Shay Krebs.

“There are some good twerkers in there; it’s gonna be something to watch for sure. I think they’re going to slay it.” She said when I met with her before the performance.

The dance was a mash up of eight different songs: Gas Pedal by Sage the Gemini, Wop by J Dash, Don't Drop That Thun Thun Thun by Finatticz, Bubble Butt by Major Lazer, Gentlemen by PSY, Whistle While I Work It by Chester See, Earthquake by DJ Fresh VS Diplo and Roar by Katy Perry. These are the kinds of songs that make for a very entertaining show.

I think having the Mansetters perform was a great way to help kick off the school year and show everyone what kind of talent we have. When you see these boys around school be sure to give them props for all the time and effort they put into the performance. Until next time, PHS, keep on dancing.
