Our digital media students had a great time at the Utah Digital Media Arts Festival at UVU on Tuesday, May 7th. Our school was awarded the "Spirit Award" and sophomore student Violet Andrew won first place in the Vector Graphic category with her Adobe Illustrator creation titled "The Rose".

Mrs. Kelly and 35 of her digital media students spent the day listening to professionals in the digital media field and looking at creations from other high school students from all over the state. Michael Janda was the key note speaker of the event and gave students 5 tips to 'making it' it in the digital industry. His main take-ways were "Love what you do, start somewhere, self-educate, exceed expectations, be nice to everyone, and learn to work fast!".

If you are interested in learning Photoshop, Illustrator, animation, video, or audio, you should talk to Mrs. Kelly! You can even earn Concurrent Enrollment credit if you sign up for her class for the entire school year.

Congrats Violet Andrew and Payson High Digital Media Students!
