Eighteen members, three advisors and two parents attended the 92nd National FFA Convention October 29th through November 2nd in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Members attended agricultural tours, educational sessions, workshops, a career show, expo, rodeo, concert, competed in a National Contest and received their American FFA Degree.

Payson FFA’s state winning Marketing Plan team comprised of Tate Siggard, Bryce Jackson, Lindsey Jackson and coached by Mrs. Lindsy Thomas competed in the National FFA Career Development Event contest.  They did a remarkable job advancing to the semi-finals and earned a silver ranking.

Emily Rowley, Charity Pieper, Sage Boswell, Bailey Jorgensen, Madison Houston, and Matthew Tervort all received their American FFA Degrees.  The prestigious American FFA Degree is the FFA’s highest degree awarded nationally and less than a half percent of all members earn this degree.  In order to qualify students must earn $10,000, invest at least $7,500 and work 2,250 hours on an agriculturally related project, participate in 50 hours of community service, and achieve other degrees during at least three continuous years of membership.

Mr. Nyle Russell was recognized and received his Honorary American  FFA Degree, which is an award given to someone who has provided exceptional service on a national level to agriculture.

We are so proud of our members and advisors that represented us at the National FFA Convention and all the hard work they put into the competitions and agriculture projects!
