Payson High Football players help with "Dads and Doughnuts" event

Submitted by katie.kelly on

On the morning of Wednesday, September 26th, some of our very own Payson High football players made a visit to Spring Lake Elementary school for their annual "Dads and Doughnuts" event. These players were able to substitute for the fathers that couldn't come, and spend time playing and eating donuts with the elementary students. The kids loved playing basketball and using the parachute with the football players.

A few of the players that went to the event actually attended Spring Lake Elementary when they were younger. One in particular was Clayton Muir. In an interview Clayton expressed how he enjoyed being able to bond with the kids and have a fun time. Clayton noticed there was a huge turn out for the event and said, "We all had lots of fun, it was a good experience for all of us. "

Principal of Spring Lake Elementary, Teresa Jordan, added "what a complete pleasure it was to have the Payson High Football team help with our Dad's and Doughnuts event this morning.  The boys were amazing!  They helped us set up and clean up, hung out with students who didn't have a dad at the event and were so helpful and polite.  Several teachers and other parents commented on how impressed they were with all of the boys and how cute they were with the kids."

Thanks Payson High Football!
