November 7 through the 10 Payson High School had the opportunity to pledge to be drug and violence free. FCCLA and HOSA had a great time planning a lot of fun activities for Red Ribbon Week. To start off the week, on Monday the two groups handed out red wristbands so that our school could how that we pledged to be drug and violence free. Each day following brought a new look to the students in our school. Tuesday we all “put a CAP on drugs and violence,” and got to wear hats to school. Wednesday students flew around as super heroes, and on Thursday we all got comfy and wore our scrubs and had an amazing assembly put on by FFCLA.

“The activities turned out really great, especially the assembly. It was fun and very educational. We all hope that everyone will not drive stupid and refrain from drugs and alcohol,” said Savannah Davies FFCLA president. This was a great week and brought our school together knowing we were all pledging to be drug and violence free together.

The winners of the Red Ribbon Week Door Contest were Latinos in Action, Mr. Rockwood’s class, and Mr. Robbin’s class. Congratulations on pledging to be drug free!
