On March 30, 2010, general SBO elections were held for the upcoming school year, and the student body of Payson High was blessed with the opportunity to watch awesome videos and listen to excellent speeches prepared by the 12 SBO candidates: Camron Rogers, Curtis Hindes, Katie Swenson, Aaron Ethridge, Braiden Muniz, Saralyn Winget, Nefi Nogueira, Justin Craig, Will Parson, Audrey Moffat, Tari Whatcott, and Ben Spencer. Overall, everyone did a great job campaigning, interviewing, and performing for the school, but only six of these dears made it through. Indeed, the Student Body Officers for the 2010-2011 school year are Camron Rogers, Katie Swenson, Braiden Muniz, Nefi Nogueira, Will Parson, and Audrey Moffat. Mrs. Brotherson, Student Council Advisor for next year, had this to say about the new SBO’s: “They’re going to be amazing!” What a woman of many words…kidding! Mr. Mecham, current Student Council Advisor, said this about the elections: “Everyone ran a fair fight, and there was no blood left on the trail. I hope they live up to the expectations of the Student Body.” Well folks from the looks of everything, next year is going to be a friggin’ blast with the newly elected SBO’s, so congratulations to those that made it! Most of all, thank you to everyone who participated and tried out. Good luck class of 2011!
