On November 2-6 the members of the PHS marching band were on band tour and the state competition in California and St. George.  The band took a plane trip at 3:00 a.m.  down to Disneyland for three days of relaxation, rides, performances, recording sessions, and clinics with “Bob from Philadelphia.”

The band then went to the state competition in St. George to prove themselves in front of 400 member bands and some of the best judges in the United States.    “We had a beautiful and outstanding performance”,  said Travis Wilkinson, drum major of The Mighty Lions Marching Band, “The drum line and color guard took their captions and the band overall placed fourth.”  Travis believes that they would have placed higher but said that the judges were critical and unfair.  Congratulations to the band for a killer season.

Now if you didn’t catch the bands performance, there is still hope.  The band performs an indoor show every year in the main gym of the school.  They welcome everyone to come and see the final performance of the show and the final performance of the band this year.
