Payson's Tropical Spirit Week Begins a New Tradition

Submitted by kate.searle on

Payson High became a tropical island during the last week of February for this school year’s spirit week. Throughout the week students wore beach attire, and on Wednesday the 28th, people got together to watch “Lilo and Stitch.” At the end of the week Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores went against each other in an assembly by competing against each other in different games: a war of the classes.

At the spirit bowl assembly, Payson High School students’ enthusiasm lit up the gym throughout the many activities.  Some of these games included a relay that ended with Owen Grimshaw and two other students getting soaked in water, and a couple of competitions to see who could chug down food and some drinks the fastest. Juniors and Sophomores had to rock-paper-scissor out of a tie.  Seniors came out victorious and in the end, Payson students danced along to Unstoppable.
