PHS Boys Soccer

This season began with a loss of 0 to 3 to Springville on a day so windy it seemed the gods were determined to smite all soccer players. But the team isn’t letting this, or anything else stand in their way this season. “This can be a great season, if the team is willing to work hard enough” said Coach Wright. “I believe that our team is willing to work and do what it takes to be the best this season” said Broden Parkin. And work hard they do, rain or shine they keep playing soccer. Captain Clint Harold said “I am excited for this year, we have the best team, with the best players, and we are going to do great!” “We are determined to take every shot, make every goal, win every ball, and conquer every opposition this season” said Jeff Rowley.                 The preseason really challenged the team this year; they traveled as far as Logan to play teams in and out of their league. Boys Soccer won ALA and West Jordan, but lost to mountain Crest, Riverton, and American Fork. “We got a lot of experience playing preseason games that is going to help us dominate this season” said Oscar Contreras.   Now that season has really started the team will soon find out if they have what it takes. Being the weather complies of course, after the windstorm their first game their second game versus Maple Mountain was rescheduled due to snow. Go Team Go!
