“Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediment….” Okay, so I’m no good at Shakespeare, but thankfully a few students at our school are. On the 8th and 9th of this month some of our drama students went down to Cedar City to participate in the Shakespeare Competition with a purpose to participate, learn and have fun. The students practiced and performed an ensemble scene from Twelfth Night and earned two superior ratings from the judges. Several performers that presented their own monologues or scenes from A Midsummer’s Nights Dream and Twelfth Night were Jessica Ward, Brenna and Rose Asplund, Alison Steed, Austin Perry, Misty Hill and Alena Johnson. The students had a good experience, “It was way fun and amazing, and we kicked butt,” commented Jessica Ward. Bravo, drama students, bravo.
