The PHS Paysetters have really shown us what they can do. On December 4th they had their first competition at Davis High School and did amazing.  They placed 2nd in their military and kick routine, and 3rd in dance.  Competing against the reigning state champs, our Paysetters were still able to place 2nd. Great job Drill Team!  On December 11th they competed again at Northridge High School.  Although they didn’t place, they worked really well as a team, and did a great job.  . On January 12 the drill team had their annual Paysetter night.  “So many people came out to support the girls on Paysetter Night, and they really enjoyed hearing the crowd cheer for them.”said coach Judd.  Paysetter Night was a great practice before the last invitational competition at Murry High School. On January 15 they competed at Murry and received an overall superior rating on all of their routines, and also won the best costume award. The Drill Team is excited that after all their practices they were finally able to compete and place in competitions.  They every A day morning for three hours and every B day for one and a half hours, and some weeks have two-a-days.

The Paysetters have been really grateful for all of the school support this year. “The school has been super supportive. Keep supporting us.” Said Drill Captain Liz Kittel. The Region Drill competition was on January 27. Our Paysetters placed fourth overall in the competition. Alexis Chanthapannha took first in the drill down. Way to go Alexis! Liz Kittel, Michaela Mecham, and Jenna Ore all took home
All-Region Awards, and Liz Kittel also took home an All-Region Academic award. “Region was so much fun. We all enjoyed dancing with each other, and had a blast.” said captain Liz Kittel. “These girls are amazing and very talented. They have pushed themselves this, year and I admire their determination.” Said coach Judd.  PHS still has the opportunity to continue supporting the drill team in February.  The state competition is on February 4th and 5th.  The Drill Team has done really well this year, and the captains, Liz Kittel, Jenna Ore, and Shelby Mortenson, and of course their amazing coach Chelsea Judd, have led them into a great year.  “PHS keep supporting our amazing Paysetters.
