PHS Latinos in Action Training to Serve at Wilson Elementary

On October 12, Staff and students from the Multi-Cultural service at UVU came in and gave a motivational lesson to the PHS Latinos in Action class to stay in school and not let any obstacle get between them and their educational careers. The guest speakers gave examples of their own personal experiences and advice for seniors wishing to attend college. As one of the guest speaker said, “Thinking and doing it are two different things.” And we hope to see many achievements from Latinos this year, and many others.

Last week Staffs  developers from Wilson Elementary came  to visit the Latinos in Action classroom to over view the reading program and training they have at Wilson. Wilson Elementary is one of the many elementary schools LIA will go and help tutor. “I’m looking forward to help little kids improve in language skill, and any other skill they are struggling with,” said Kimberly Rodriguez. LIA will soon be starting their tutoring sessions to be ready to go and tutor young kids.
