On November 9 over 20 NHS members gathered in the counseling office to tie fleece blankets for the homeless.

“It was nice to see so many people show up and offer their service,” said Co-President Mercedes John.

Not only did NHS members complete 26 blankets, but they had fun helping each other,

“It was great to think that the blanket I was working on was going to help keep someone warm,” said NHS member Melissa Green. The blankets will be delivered to the Food and Care Coalition when the club goes to serve dinner to them in December.

Other activities coming up for NHS include helping out with the Sub for Santa effort by placing a tree in the counseling office.  Ornaments with gift needs for the families are available to the student body as an alternative to donating money.  The Sub for Santa tree will be set up December  1-9.
