The lady lion’s softball team is making their way to the top this year to accomplish one goal: win a region championship. The girls have only had one game of region play so far, but they have been very successful. With a win against Richfield and a score of 19-4, the team is feeling very confident about their abilities. Shaylee Larsen, the starting pitcher of the winning game, is feeling very positive for the upcoming season.

“This season is going to be fantastic,” Larsen said.

Athletic ability isn’t the only thing that is going well for the team. The grades and attendance of the overall team has improved as well.

“The team is a lot more studious this year,” said Lauren Hazelet.

One of the team’s goals this season is to have a minimum 3.0 GPA for the overall team. The girls realize that while playing well on the field is going to help them claim that region title, having good grades and attendance is going to help them out in the long run.

The next home game is April 1 against Carbon. Varsity starts at 3:30. Come and support the team as they strive for success!
