Anyone who knows Ashlyn Ewell knows of her ability to light up a room. Her sunshine has been dimmed temporarily as Ashlyn was injured in a snowboarding accident and her injuries are severe; requiring brain surgery and much medical attention.

The community wishes to reach out and help show support for Ashlyn and her amazing family. Join us at a benefit, held in Ashlyn's honor, on St. Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17th at 3:00 p.m. at Genola Park, 74 West 800 South, Genola Utah

Ashlyn is a recent graduate of Payson High School: she excelled as a student. Sheri Ashby said this, “Ashlyn is the friend that everyone deserves to have. She was one of my first and best friends at Payson, and is one of the most caring people I have ever meet.”

Ashlyn’s Dad posted this update on Ashlyn’s condition, I am amazed at this girl and all she is going through. We have been blessed to have a few moments when she responds to our questions by nodding her head. She has squeezed my hand and opened her eyes a couple times and looked at us. Small little things but huge for us and tears are shed with these little steps. She is fighting pneumonia in one lung that we need to get rid of so she can breathe easier and allow her brain to focus on healing itself.”

Her mom also lovingly said, “She has a long road ahead of her and the doctors keep reminding us that it is a marathon, not a sprint. One thing we have been reminded of is how fragile life can be. Hold your children a little bit longer and a little bit tighter. Tell them you love them more often.”  In light of the recent even Boone Jarvis, one of Ashlyn’s friends from high school said, “One of the greatest people I know is Ashlyn Ewell. She’s helped me through so much and shows kindness to anybody she meets. She has a heart of gold. Ashlyn you have a great future ahead of you.”

At the event held on behalf of Ashlyn there will be live music, Irish games, catered dinner, a bake sale, a silent auction, a raffle, a bonfire and more! Visit our Facebook page to pre-order entry wristbands and find all the information you may need.

We respectfully request that all attendees wear green as a sign of solidarity and to raise awareness for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Donations of baked goods, gift baskets, care packages and gift cards/certificates, as well as any services you'd like to donate, would be greatly appreciated. Donated items will be auctioned at face value for the benefit of Ashlyn and her long road to recovery.
