Spring time and Sage time

Submitted by kate.searle on

It’s that time of the year once again, where the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the snow has melted away. Students are itching for the year to come to a close, but one small, minor problem still stands in our way. Sage testing. I decided to get some further intel on the students’ opinions here at PHS.

Here is what they have to say. Edna Garcia, a sophomore here at PHS, stated her view on the sage, “It may be beneficial, but the way I see it, it isn’t really helping us for the ACT. I don’t know, it’s probably good, but students don’t like testing.” Many students ask why we have to take the Sage. Teachers say it’s for our future, others say it’s just a waste of time. The Sage is the opportunity for students to test their knowledge and help them for their future.

The Sage can both have a positive and a negative outlook. Having a positive outlook on something everyone dreads is beneficial. It gives you a positive attitude on what the future holds. Having a negative outlook on everything just brings you down. Here at PHS we try as hard as we can to have a positive outlook.Sage testing will be taking place all throughout the month of April into the beginning of May. Study hard and study long. Have a positive attitude and it will all work out.
