At the annual Ken Garff Keys to Success Assembly held May 2 at Payson High School Ashley Rowley was award an Apple iPad, and Seth Thompson a $2,000 scholarship towards his college education. The assembly came as the culmination of the year long Ken Garff Keys to Success program run every year at the high school.
During the school year 600 Key Cards are awarded to students nominated by their teachers for academic achievement. “The Ken Garff student recognition program is a great way to let students know how awesome they are doing,” said Janeen Dean, Payson High School, Ken Garff liaison. “Each key card can be redeemed for a gift ranging from $10 - $30.  At the end of the school year a random drawing is held at lunch time where the students draw from those 600 students for 50 finalists.  Those 50 finalists compete for an iPad.  The winner will then move on to the big drawing in S.L.C. to compete for a 2012 car,” said Dean. IPad winners from each high school in Utah will join Ashley Rowley in the Salt Lake City drawing.
