Travel the world with Travel Scholarships and Programs

Did you know that there are hundreds of travel scholarships and programs offered to high school students? These programs give students the chance to travel all over the world -- without breaking the bank. We did some research and compiled a list of a couple of the best travel programs for high school students and a couple of travel scholarships to help offset the  costs.


Programs:


Rustic Pathways and the Dominican Republic

Rustic Pathways takes students on an in depth service oriented adventure through in the beautiful setting of rainforests and beaches in the Dominican Republic. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about  the culture and way of life in the DR while meeting other students and visiting some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Greenheart Travel High School Exchange in Spain

This is an exchange program that allows students to spend a semester in spain with a host family. They will attend classes in spanish, spend time visiting tourists attractions, and touring the beautiful and culture rich country of spain.

Summer Volunteer Program in Tanzania

This program gives students the opportunity to spend the summer in tanzania rebuilding an orphanage. Students will have the opportunity to hike to waterfalls and go on an African safari.

Scholarships:


Ripley Hunter

This scholarship asks for applicants to write an article or speech on something they've learned while traveling.  The scholarship award is $1,000! The next application deadline will open on January 30 and close on June 2. The winner will be announced the week of July 19.

ACIS Travel Scholarship

This scholarship is open to students and teachers signed up to go on any ACIS tour before October 17, 2017. Entries are accepted in three categories: artwork, photography, and writing.
