Mr. Payson 2022: Jackson Mills
Congratulations to our new Mr. Payson, Jackson Mills! His first attendant is Cris Muñoz and 2nd attendant Micah DeGraw. They competed in the Mr. Payson pageant on April 29th. Contestants competed in events such as a leg contest, video contest, swimsuit, talent, and evening wear. A massive thanks to our school's Theatre Council and Ambassadors for putting countless hours into organizing this wonderful event.

Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month!
Aloha! May is Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, (sometimes called AAPI Month). During this important month, we recognize the great "historical and cultural contributions of individuals and groups of Asian and Pacific Islander descent to the United States" (history.com). These contributions include the fields of science, medicine, literature, art, sports, government, and many others. Those of AAPI heritage "have long played an essential role in writing the American story.
Meet our New Head Football Coach: Arnold Ale
PHS is very excited to announce that our new head football coach will be Coach Arnold Ale. Coach Ale (pronounced “Ah-leh”) comes to us from Los Angeles, CA, where he has served his community as the former head football coach and athletic director at Carson High School, among others. Coach Ale also has experience coaching at the collegiate and professional levels, having coached for Los Angeles Harbor College, Long Beach City College, San Jose State University, and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Meet This Year's Valedictorian & Salutatorian
Payson High is excited to announce that the valedictorian for the class of 2022 is Emily Morrill. And the salutatorian is Emily Knapp. They have excelled tremendously in their academic accomplishments. And they will both speak at our graduation ceremony on May 26. Congratulations to these two Emilies!
