Girl’s Golf Is Coming Up Fast

Submitted by kate.searle on

Girl’s golf next season is starting soon and Coach Miller needs players to go talk to her before the break. “All the information they need is on a paper I give them when they come and talk to me,” Miller said when asked what information the girls needed to know. Miller also said that the players need to go talk to her so she can find out who needs golf clubs.

Kamille Caldwell, a PHS senior who started playing golf last year, said in a Pride segment, “I joined playing golf because I needed a sport to play and other girls should come play because it’s really fun to get to know the team, the coach and get to know other people from the district.” Another golf player from last year who has been playing since sixth grade, Grace Wilson, said, “Golf is a good way to get scholarships and it’s really fun to play in general.”

There are twelve days left in the second term and Miller says, “This term grades determine eligibility for golf.  Must have at least a 2.0 GPA and NO 'F"s from 2nd term. Aspiring players must get into A4 advanced conditioning class with Chad Beck.”

Again, girls who want to play golf for the school need to talk to Miller before the Christmas break.
