In honor of red ribbon week, Payson High School and Officer John Shepherd put on alcohol awareness night. Parents and community members were invited. He also gave detention credit for going, to get more people involved. By informing people of the risks, and simply getting parents involved, can help prevent underage drinking. They gave out prizes for answering questions. This alcohol awareness night was very successful, I believe. We are very grateful to have people who are willing to help improve Payson High School. We would just like to thank everyone that participated!

“It was good information for students, and parents to know. Shep is a great guy, and I can’t wait for what else he’s going to do for the community.” said Adriana Cruz.

Shepherd said, “Elvis didn’t do drugs. I’m trying to help out the students and get parents informed about alcohol damage.”
