On December 14th the Payson Concert and Chamber Choirs had the opportunity to perform at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square.

This is but one of their many events and performances during the month of December. Our busy choir groups devote most of their Christmas month doing what they do best: sing.

“It was really neat to perform at temple square,” said choir member Audrey Miller. “We had a great time together. The atmosphere was so good; it didn’t feel at all like a competition because it was just really fun to listen to the other choirs. The assembly hall is such a cool old building and the lights were seriously beautiful!”

The choirs gave beautiful performances singing songs like: We Wish You A Merry Christmas, Home Alone Melody, Gaudete (Latin for Rejoice), Holly Jolly, Jingle All the Way.

“The concert choir did really good. Everyone has been working so hard,” said Jordyn Fraser, another choir member. “Everyone is so determined and these choirs take what they do really seriously. We had so much fun and it was a great experience being able to see all the hard work of the choirs pay off.”
