Ciera Lundberg might not be the Dark Horse of the soccer team, but these girls are definitely the unsung heroes of PHS. Even though the girls have gone 3-2 in region, you’ll seldom see them on the headlines of the paper.
Ciera is a junior this year and starts on the Lady Lion’s soccer team. She’s been a starting player since her sophomore year. Number 11 and the teams forward, she’s having a great season so far with 10 goals so far.
She might be super sweet and all smiles during school; but teammates say she’s got a whole different, more ferocious, personality on the field.
“Ciera is an animal,” said fellow forward, Calli Jensen. “When she gets the ball, you just know she’s going to score.”
To us, it looks like her teammate is right. Last week in the girl’s soccer game against North Sanpete the Lady Lions won 6-0. Ciera scored 3 of the goals in that game. She also helped the team get a win against Carbon by scoring a goal on the 14th.
For a junior, this girl is on fire. This won’t be the last you hear of her with the season she’s had so far.
