Seussical the Musical Begins

            On Monday, September 10, the process for Seussical the Musical began with nerve-wracking auditions. The next day, about 30 selected students arrived at call-backs, working hard to claim their desired role. The director, Mr. Allred, was thrilled that so many talented people wanted to be involved.

            “It's not what I expected, but it'll be awesome! We have a great cast!” said Brandon Peterson (the Cat in the Hat) after the cast list was posted.

            Rehearsals for Seussical started on September 13 and will continue every day after school until November 7. In that time the cast will be diligently learning the music, choreography, and blocking to the Dr. Seuss influenced production.

            “I'm so amazingly excited for the play because we have such an off-the-wall cast this year!” Larisa Mullan, acting the part of Mrs. Mayor, said.

            Performances run from November 8 to 12, starting at 7 pm. So get ready to watch the show and remember, “A person's a person no matter how small!”
