As the school year comes to an end, it’s important to recognize all of our incredible sports teams and how well they did this year. We’ve had a lot more region championships this year than we have had in years past. Let’s take a look at how well each team has done.

Wrestling: The most outstanding team this year is the wrestling team. Not only did they take first in region, but they also went on to become state champions! Some individuals also took 1st at state such as Hagen Loveless and Jed Loveless.

Girls Soccer: This year, our girls’ soccer team had the best season the team has ever had. They went undefeated and placed 1st in region, and then went on to beat Morgan in the first round of state 2-1. The team even had three seniors get academic all-state. Shelby Blauer, Jessica Barker and Ciera Lundberg were academic all-state winners.

Volleyball: Our volleyball team placed 3rd in region and 7th in state.  The team is confident and ready to win next year.

Golf: The boys’ golf team placed 2nd in region and went to state. The girls’ golf team only had four players. Of those four, Alena Luhtala is advancing to the state tournament.

Cross Country: Our cross country team did very well this season. The girls were region champions and the boys placed 2nd behind Richfield. Freshman Alison Pray placed 6th overall at state.

Girls Tennis: The girls’ tennis team took 2nd at region. In fact, this was the first year that each girl advanced to the state tournament.  The first doubles, Megan Snow and Staci Snow went undefeated during region and the second doubles, Leann Stowe and Sarah Black also placed 1st in the region.

Football: The football team went 1-9 in the season and both Brody Adams and Michael Sondreggor were academic all-state winners.

Boys Basketball: Our boys’ basketball team placed 1st in region this year. They even made it to the second round of state.

Boys Soccer: This year, the boys’ soccer team went undefeated in region. In the first round of state, they beat Morgan 2-1.

Boys Tennis: The boys’ tennis team took 1st in region and is advancing to the state tournament. This is the first time in history that the entire varsity team is going to state. Adam Pullan placed 1st in the region in singles.
