On Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 P.M., nine of Payson’s finest ladies competed for the title of Miss Payson 2016. The pageant was held in Payson High School’s auditorium, and the theme for the pageant is New York, New York!  Nine contestants competed, and only three walked away with a crown, there would be a Queen, first attendant, and second attendant. These ladies were judged in five different categories: interview, swimwear, talent, on-stage question, and evening wear. The pageant began with an opening number with every contestant doing a dance, this was followed by the swimwear competition, the talent portion, then the on-stage question, and the pageant concluded with the evening wear piece of the competition. Reigning queen, Jenna Wright, took her final walk as Miss Payson and then the new royalty was announced. From Payson High, Brooklyn Jensen is crowned second attendant, and Camri Jensen is crowned your 2016 Miss Payson! All PHS contestants made their school proud, and it’s very exciting to have two of our finest represent our city, and school as Miss Payson Royalty.
