The Payson/Santaquin Area Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize this week's Athletes of the Week.
For Girls Lacrosse - McKenna Mecham - McKenna is a big part of why this team has a chance to play for a state championship. Her footwork and skills have kept the Girls Lacrosse team in all of the games they played and was a big part of the playoff wins this season.
For Track & Field - Braxton Shirley- Braxton is competing at the state finals in the high jump where he broke a school record that has been in the books since 1969. His points in the region meet is one of the reasons that the Track & Field team won the region championship.
These athletes are recognized at the school and receive a certificate & gift cards from the sponsors; Menchies Frozen Yogurt.
