College Access Advisor

Most high schools in our area (including PHS) have a “college access advisor” who works alongside our counseling department. They are recent college graduates who are hired through the University of Utah and then placed in selected high schools around the state. College advisers seek to help more Utah students attend college. Working alongside school staff, advisers assist students with navigating the college admissions process. This includes, but is not limited to, admissions applications, financial aid forms and scholarship applications, and college entrance examination registration and preparation. Our current college access advisor is Christopher Belnap. You can swing by the counseling office to meet with him, if you have any questions at all about college.

This program is looking for more college advisors. This position is on an approx. 10-month contract and begins August 1, 2022 and ends May 31, 2023 (the end date is subject to change and maybe earlier depending on the last day of school).

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree (obtained by the end of summer 2022) is required

 Salary: $26,100 for 10-month contract
