Our Lions have been hard at work the past few weeks in sports, academics, and more. Here are some highlights:

Track & Field:

  • The following athletes qualified automatically for state based on their AMAZING marks:
    • Bridger Blauer qualified for state in the javelin
    • Zayden Cook qualified for state in the shot put
    • Ethan Olson qualified for state in the 110m hurdles
    • Olivia Nielson qualified for state in the 200m dash



  • Moving on to State IE Drama Competition, Saturday, April 13th:
    • Dramatic Monologues:  Tanika Lavery, Azure Marrott, and Conner O'Brien
    • Humorous Monologues:  Alanah Tate, Taylie Brooks, and Shaely Walker
    • Classic Scenes:  Lemon Kunz & Mytchie Baxter; Kaylie Durfee & Sion Martin; Tommy Nielsen & Cali Webb; and Nova Roy & Kylie Earl
    • Contemporary Scenes:  Brayden Hammond & Zach Hugjes; Tyler Kitchen & DC Christensen; and Ella Jewell, Emma Moore and LaNea Allred
    • Pantomime:  Danny Wheeler; Jimmy Reilly & Sean Reilly; and Kaylie Kerr & Brooklyn Loveless
    • Musical Theatre:  Katie Coates & Morgan Lines; Pheobe Farnsworth & Henry Kearns; AJ Rindlisbacher, Aaron Rindlisbacher, Alex Risenmay & Zach Wright; Jill Craig, Tenacious Elliot, Kayla Wright & Mekhia White
    • **Kendal, Ellie, Sky, Malcolm, Mara, Emily, Sierra and Katherine- will be student coaches, as we prepare for State, and also help with State Competition Celebrations!!
  • Placing at Region Individual Events in the top 3:
    • Dramatic Monologue:  Tanika Lavery, 3rd place

    • Class Scenes:  Lemon Kunz and Mytchie Baxter, 3rd place
    • Pantomime:  Danny Wheeler, 2nd place

ASL State Competition:

  • Fingerspelling Level 2
    • Gavin Lewis 3rd place
  • Deaf Art (Drawing)
    • Allayna Chidester 1st place
  • Deaf art (Painting) 
    • Izzie Wilkey 3rd place
  • Deaf art (3D)
    • Abbygale Rowley 1st place
  • ASL Debate
    • Mckenna Mecham / Aliceson Thomas 2nd place
    • McKenzie Ainscough / Izzie Wilkey 4th place


Girls Baskeball Team:

  • Our basketball team advanced to the semi finals for the first time in 20 years! They didn't advance to the next game, but played well and had a great season. (See some clips of the team playing against Ridgeline here.)
