Did you know that there are over 1,400 students and staff members from Payson High School who have served in the armed forces? (You can see there names listed on plaques in our Veterans Display near the front office and online in the PHS Hall of Fame.) We are very proud of our connection with the Veterans community.
Today, we celebrated Veterans Day with an amazing assembly and participation in the city's Veterans Day parade. In the assembly, we heard the Payson High Bagpipe Band play Amazing Grace, the Orchestra play the National Anthem, and the Concert Choir performed a stirring patriotic song. In addition, the PHS Dance Company performed a powerful tribute dance to our veterans. Our Keynote speaker was Brigadier General Kurt Davis of the Utah Air National Guard.
