Brent Olson
Hall of Fame Presentation

Payson High School has inducted the multi-talented All-American athlete Brent Olson into the Sports Hall of Fame. We recognized him at the football game on 9/30/2022.

Brent Olson was an outstanding athlete at Payson High School, and demonstrated the advantage of being a multi-sport athlete. His senior year, (class of 1964), in addition to being the student body president and defensive captain of the football team, he was awarded All-Region, All-State, and All-American honors in Football. He was also accomplished in Band, Basketball, and Track & Field. In college, Brent played football for BYU where he helped them win their first conference championship in school history.

You can read more about Brent Olson’s life and athletic achievements in the Hall of Fame section of the Payson High School website. Unfortunately, Brent passed away in 2009. We offer our deepest condolences to the Olson family. At the game to receive this award on his behalf were his wife Dawn, his daughter Cynthia, his daughter-in-law Valerie, and other members of the Olson family.

We are proud to call Brent Olson a son of Payson High School and include him in our Sports Hall of Fame.
