Come check out the 40+ presenters who coming to Payson High School on November 21 to help students learn about future career options, internship opportunities, and more.

Presenters vary from Healthcare to Engineering to Skills & trades to Entrepreneurs to a Chaplain.

        Choose 1st career from 9:15-9:40

        Choose 2nd career from 9:45-10:15

Athlete of the Week

This week's Athletes of the Week are recognized by the Payson/Santaquin Area Business Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Mountain View Hospital and Mountain Star Healthcare. 

Female Athlete

Presley Ryan - Volleyball. The volleyball team hosted a state playoff game, and this is the 1st time this has happened in PHS history. Presley finished her senior year leading the Lions in all that she does both on and off the court. This year she has 271 kills, 36 blocks, 44 aces, 157 digs, and 21 assists all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.

Volleyball Victory!

Saturday, October 21st marks the first time since 2007 that Payson has hosted or won the first round in State!

Payson's varsity volleyball is ranked #13 in 4A and #55 in the state (Last year we ended up #81 in state - amazing growth!)

Catch the game against Sky View on Wednesday, October 25th at 4 PM and 7 PM at UVU or through the KSL live stream.

Cross Country: Qualified for State!

Congratulations to the Cross Country teams this year.

Both boys and girls qualified for the finals of the State Cross Country meet. The boys were led by Ethan Kimmel, Joaquin Cardenas, Ryan Rowley, Kason Huntington, Jackson Marvin, Spencer King, and Jaxon Dalley. The girls were led by Reagan Mckenna, Halle Nielson, Abbie Johnson, Bailey Watson, Tori Rasmussen, Lily Potter, and Annie Christensen.

Also Ryan Rowley and Max Shirts represent Payson and the cross country team as Academic All-State recipients

Shakespeare Competition

Here are the results from Shakespeare Comp:

Monologues.  Our three monologue competitors ranked in the following order out of 48 total monologue competitors in our division:

  • Azure- 4th Place with 272 points out of 300
  • Mekhia- 18th Place with 246 points out of 300
  • Tanna- 21st Place 242 points out of 300

 

Duo Trio Scenes:  Our two trio scene competitors ranked in the following order out of 31 total duo/trio scene competitors in our division:
