New Sign!

Submitted by david.rockwood on Fri, 05/22/2020 - 21:45

In preparation for our 2020 Hybrid Graduation this week, Payson High replaced the old sign on the south wall (facing the south parking lot). Our very own Mr. Nyle Russell, retiring welding teacher and FFA advisor, used the school's plasma cutter to cut out the letters. Then local company Diamondback Manufacturing did the welding and powdercoating. On Tuesday (May 19), school staff hung the new sign on the wall. And it looks amazing! Check out the photos of the old sign and the new sign.

We want to thank everyone who took the time to fill out the PHS Graduation Survey for 2020. Your input was invaluable in helping us decide how to proceed. There were strong and valid opinions expressed in favor of both graduation options that we presented. The overwhelming majority of seniors, and also of parents, preferred the hybrid graduation option on May 20. In fact, over 25% of seniors and 30% of parents said that they would not be able to attend a graduation ceremony if it were held in August.
