Leaving a Legacy at PHS

Audrey Miller

Payson High is back in session and ready for action. With new additions to the school like a new gym floor, a fresh exterior, and a brand new fine arts department, PHS is eager to help its students make this year one to remember. Principal Bart Peery is looking forward to watching the students of PHS reach their full potential, “We have great students and great faculty, so this year, be the best you can be!” said Peery. He also advises students to get involved as much as they can, “We are small in numbers, but I couldn’t be happier with all of the great support we’ve had so far at all of our events. Keep it going in the same direction!”

Aside from his hopes for the students of PHS, Peery also has three goals for this year’s faculty, “First, we want to make a difference in our students’ lives, find happiness in everything we do, and lastly, we want to leave a legacy.”   As students of Payson High, we have the right and opportunity to leave a legacy of our own.  Make this year the year you shine, create friendships that will last for years after we leave these halls, and really try to excel in your classes. Have pride in yourself and have pride in your school because we are the Payson Lions, and together we conquer.
