PHS Boys Baseball Never Gives Up

This year our 2010 baseball team has made a remarkable appearance in the high school baseball league.   The boys have been a great example of what it is to be a true Payson Lion. Through the ups and the downs our PHS baseball players have always had a great attitude and have put forward there best efforts.   All the players have had a chance to shine when they were needed most and they did. Coach Johnson said, “Chris Robbins has been doing very well. Tyler Osborn has been hitting and catching well.” PHS baseball has had a truly remarkable impact on both the offensive side and the defensive. Johnson said, “Defensively are team has been doing better and better as the season goes on. We have had fewer errors then when we started. Sophomore Tanner Newbold has been stepping up defensively helping up the middle on a varsity level,” said Johnson   If any of you baseball fans have been able to go out and watch our team you probably have noticed that the players have stepped up and have gotten a lot better. “Been rough but the players keep battling it out, hopes are that the returners gain experience to help next year.” Coach Johnson said. Senior Chris Robbins had this to say about the season, “I’ve learned that even if it’s a strike swing at it; you can’t hit without swinging.” To sum up the PHS baseball season Coach Johnson has this to say, “You’re killing me smalls.” It shows that even when life does get hard the best thing to do is to watch the Sandlot, no. It shows that you should never give up, even if you are fighting the beast in life. The PHS baseball team deserves thanks for trying their hardest and never giving up. Way to go boys, and thanks for showing what a true Lion Spirit is.
