PHS Pink Games Raises Money for Summer Simmons

By Kase Greenhalgh

Friday’s pink game was a huge success. Our softball team put together an awesome fundraiser to raise money for Summer Simmons’ treatments. Payson played West Lake and in between each inning they auctioned something off. There was also a silent auction throughout the entire game. Local businesses such as Fat Jack’s Pizza, and Divas Salon donated stuff to be auctioned. “We are so glad we could put this fundraiser together to help out Summer. Our hearts are filled with sorrow for her. We would like to thank everyone who helped make this happen. We had a great time and it was for a good cause. We send Summer our love and wish her the best,” said Nichelle Williams. The Lions ended up beating the Thunder 10-9. We would like to wish the softball team luck; they have a play in game for the state tournament Tuesday the 17th in St. George.
