The Payson Boy’s soccer team is 2-2 with one of their losses coming in the final minute of the Maple Mountain game. “We got a good win against Spanish Fork and Uinta. We plan on ending the season on a high note with 3, or 4 wins. Right now our goal is to go to state, and we have put ourselves in a good position to accomplish that goal,” said Coach Wright.

This year’s team is strong, they have scored as many goals this year part way through the season, than all last year. The last game played was at Spanish fork, they were really aggressive in the first half they pounded the goal, but they only scored one goal because of a good keeper.

Spanish fork didn’t touch the ball very much unless it was in front of their goal, so they have their goal keeper to thank from keeping this game from being a blow out win for our lions. Their goal for this year is to make it to state because they haven’t managed that in many years. “There is a lot more potential for this year’s team, we just need to work hard to reach that potential,” said Tyler Watson. The soccer team had a great game Thursday playing Spanish Fork.
