Payson Students Participate in Nebo High School Youth Board

The Nebo High School Youth Board, a group of students made up of high school students from each school within the district, met with the Nebo School Board of Education and Superintendent Rick Nielsen this past month. Each Youth Board representative is selected by his/her principal to be a spokesperson for their school each quarter.

Students were given time to introduce themselves and ask any questions they desired to the School Board of Education as well as Superintendent Nielsen. 

It's Mr. Payson Week!

This week, students are competing in the Mr. Payson Pageant, hosted by the Drama department. The week started with many little competitions with the contestants remaining anonymous. These were held during lunch and judged by the student body via a link in their email. Friday night will be the final competition that will have judges watching.

Red Ribbon Week Kicks Off With CRAZY SOCK DAY!

To kick off Red Ribbon Week, today’s theme was crazy sock day! “SOCK it to Drugs and Violence!” Tomorrow, Wednesday October 23rd is wear hats and tie dye day… “Put a CAP on drugs and violence”. There will also be a pancake breakfast in Room C-17 before school, and a rock wall in front of the school from 10:30 a.m.- 12:00. Thursday is the day to wear RED! There will also be an assembly and we will follow the A.M. regular schedule. Aloha Friday is wear Hawaiian clothes, “LEI Off Drugs and Violence”. There will also be an “Escape the Vape” escape room during lunch in the library.

Put In For the Radon Awareness Competition!

The state is holding a competition for kids & teens of all ages to enter and help bring awareness to radon. Radon is a gas that is dangerous to humans and is the second highest cause of cancer.

Payson High Custodian earns Nebo PEAK Award

Our very own custodian, Von Dansie, was awarded the October Nebo PEAK Award. Thanks for all of your hard work Von! We appreciate everything you do for our school.
