Athletes of the Week

Submitted by megan.russell on

Drill - Ellie Wilkerson: She was nominated because Ellie is an extremely hard worker.  She doesn’t just put in the work at practice but at home too. She is always positive and gives 110% in everything she does. Ellie also is a straight A student.

Cheerleading - Kaylee Fratto: She was nominated because Kaylee has been the positive voice of the team these past weeks. She has been tireless in her encouragement of her teammates and really helped build our team spirit this week! That is important as they head to their state competition.

Submitted by megan.russell on

This year, Payson High School students can learn about Healthcare careers from professionals in that field.

Students can go on a field trip from PHS to MTECH in Lehi where over 20 professionals from Doctors, Nurses & Paramedics will be sharing their expertise and how they entered the career.

This is free and a bus will take the students from PHS to MTECH. Afterwards, lunch will be provided to the students.

Don't miss it on February 2nd, 2024. The sessions are open until they are full.

MLK Jr. Day: Monday, January 15

Submitted by megan.russell on

On Monday, January 15, we'll commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with the day off school.

This federal holiday is observed on the third Monday every January, and this year, it "falls on the actual birthday of the celebrated civil rights leader who was assassinated more than a half a century ago (NPR).

Since 1994, Americans have been "encouraged to observe the day "with acts of civic work and community service" in honor of King's legacy."

This upcoming Monday, consider what you can do to make a difference in our community. Go Lions!
