Payson High Wrestling takes 2nd place in 2020 5A State Tournament

Submitted by katie.kelly on

We want to congratulate our wrestling team for wrestling their hearts out at the state championships this week. After two days of grappling, we finished in 2nd place as a team! In addition to the team results, we had 14 wrestlers medal on the award stand, including 2 state champions and 2 state runners-up. We are so proud of them. It was a wild tournament where we went back and forth with a very tough Wasatch team.

1st Place - Cole Jensen of Payson

1st Place - Layne Shepherd of Payson
