PHS Volleyball State Playoff Game

Our amazing PHS volleyball team will be playing Skyline High School in the first round of the state championships on Tuesday November 3rd at 6:00 PM. The match-up will be at Skyline HS. 

We would love to see a supportive and positive Payson crowd at the game. Ticketing instructions are below. Because November 3 is also Election Day, we encoruage all volleyball game attendees who are also eligible voters to cast their ballots early in order to avoid a conflict.

Utah County Health Department Offers Additional Mobile COVID Testing Site

Intermountain Healthcare’s mobile testing unit will be in Payson at the Wasatch Behavioral Health site. Utah County Health is not targeting specific zip codes or populations, all are welcome. Utah County Health does not require any documentation. See attached flyer.

Mrs. Burdick's Art Students Participate in "Inktober" Challenge

Mrs. Burdick's class is participating in "Inktober"! Inktober is a yearly event that happens every October to bring the art community together. According to their website, "Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits." There is a prompt list for each day in October and there is a new list every year. It is so much fun and anyone is welcome to join! https://inktober.com/rules

Tonight is Beyond High School Night

This week is Utah College Application Week! As part of the celebration, we are holding our annual "Beyond High School Night" from 4:00-7:00pm. Everyone is welcome to attend the event. Come apply for financial aid (FAFSA), learn about technical and vocational schools, internships, and more! There will be food trucks as well as games and activities for the whole family.

2 time Olympian visits PHS cross country team

On Thursday October 1, PHS cross country team hosted two time Olympian Jillian Williams and her husband Dustin who is the head trainer for the US Olympic track team. Jill is a former US record holder for shot put. She won the silver medal at the 2011 World Games and another silver medal in the Pan Am Games in 2015. Her story of overcoming devastating injuries to be able to compete and triumph in world class competition was an inspiration to the team.

Payson Boys Cross Country lose a heartbreaker

In the Region 8 championship meet on Friday October 2, 2020 Payson boys were edged out for the championship by 1 point. Payson was a slight favorite entering the race and ran their hearts out but couldn’t quite overcome an injury to their #3 runner. Springville finished with a score of 62 followed by Payson at 63. Maple Mountain finished 3rd with 79 points. Payson had 7 runners finish the 3 mile course under 17 minutes. Colby Orton, Adam Pray, Caden Rasmussen, and Spencer Bennett all finished in the top 20. Jackson Fitzwater, Dylan Whitney and Kasen Johnson followed closely behind.

If you are a PHS student and you are either in the online school program or are quarantined at home, you can order a breakfast and/or lunch by clicking on the link below.
