C-H-E-E-R! GOOOOOO CHEER!

Here at Payson High, we have some top-class cheerleaders who never stop cheering for our school. Coach McMurdie said, “This year squad is incredibly talented, and full of surprises (in a good way)”. These girls work twenty four-seven pumping up our school spirit, helping athletes believe in themselves, and “getting everyone else involved,” Abby Christensen said. They also do tons of service and still manage to have good grades and attendance, as well as looking good! Gina Finlinson said, “We put all our time and dedication into cheer.” But it’s worth it for these girls, Danielle Shepherd said, “We do it because we love it, and in the end it’s worth it.” “We really want to get everyone involved this year, and make it the best year ever” said Mariah Miller. The captains have just changed for the season, we want to thank retiring Captain Gina Finlinson and Co-Captain Mariah Miller and now we’re excited to see Captain Candace Roach and Co-Captain Sage Bertchi show their stuff. Some of the best memories the girls have from Cheer this year are: “our wrestling tournaments, playing pool, staying up all night, and going swimming,” said Gina. Thanks Cheer for all you do to make Payson great!    2009-2010 Cheerleaders
